“St. GeorgenBräu Doppelbock“, Flasche (50 cl) von Grabsch, Berlin. - Dunkles Kupferrotbraun, klar.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear amber with a small, off-white head. Nutty, caramellish aroma. Rich body, sweet caramel malts, very subdued bitterness. But a very decent Bock. 271214

Bottled, BB 27.09.14, large sample. Clear amber to copper color, medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, earthy hops, bit bready. Bit bitter in taste, medium sweet from caramel. Quite clean. Finishes reasonably bitter. Nice oldschool doppelbock.

Dark color, short head. Aroma of licorice, rye, roasted malt, some sugar. Sweet taste, roasted malt, blackcurrant, laurel, licorice. Leaves a carpet of black velvet on your tongue. Bit dry, thick, loads of licorice.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. It pours a clear, brown body under a small, off-white head. The aroma is malty tending towards meat. Caramel and a touch of dried fruits and fruity hops. Some bitterness in the flavor, with the maltyness dominating. Full-bodied, dryish yet sweet and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting caramel finish with dried fruits. A pretty nice one. 131019

Bottle, at Cardinal. It’s a dark copper, clear beer topped by a dense, beige head. Bread, grains, mash and rye bread on the nose. A silght oxidized hint in the mouth, with dark rye bread dominating. Bready finish. Medium to full body, dry. A pleasant bock. Rating: 6-4-6-4-13-3.3. 091106
Bottle, at Norøls Bockølfestival. It’s a dark brown beer with a reddish hue. A small off-white head sits on top. Roasted, slightly burnt bready nose with caramel and a hint of dms. Sweet caramel flavor with roasted malts and some dms. Full-bodied, almost sticky feeling. Strange, it felt dry the last time. Some bitterness in the finish. A nice beer suffering from dms even though the levels are low, and it could use more bittering hops. 100313
