Midtown tasting, can from European Swap 2019/1, thank you Mallorn. Black brown pour, some brown foam on the top. Nose has some light soft roast, coffee and a bit of leather in the nose. Somewhat a pastry thing going on also. Tastes medium sweet, some coffee there, roast bitterness and some interesting somewhat fruity-tart sweetness. Bit oily body and bitter chocolate and sone old leather coming out in the finish. Dry lingering bitter chocolate.

33 cl. bottle shared with Rick @ Rick. Black with a small off-white head. Nice roasted chocolate malts aroma with indeed some espresso and tiramisu-like notes. Taste is medium bitter and body is thick and round. Very solid stout.

19 December 2018. Can at De Zwaan, Maastricht. Shared with Anke. Pours hazy black with a lasting, small, beige head; little lacing. Intense aroma of espresso, hazelnut paste, cream, sponge fingers, chocolate powder, amaretto, prune, vanilla. Taste is medium malty sweet, rather nutty, lots of hazelnut & almond, supplemented by chocolate powder, cookie & cream; nowhere too sweet as a medium roasted bitterness brings mocha, roasted nuts & (retronasal) fondant. Dry, peppery hoppy finish, lingering roasted nuts, espresso, warming amaretto alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. All the elements connect really well here, very nice pastry stout.

Bottle at Kim Jong Un Buurtcentrum, Zaandam. Near black with a beige head. Aroma of vanilla, coffee and cocoa in an artificial Omnipollo kind of way. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
