Sample at Haandfest 2019. Beautiful black body with a dense beige head. Aroma has dark malt, roasted coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is sweet, dark malt, really smooth, coffee, vanilla, warming alcohol and moderate bitterness. Fine body and long lasting, sweet and alcoholic aftertaste. Nice take on the pastry thing without being silly.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Huge fan of Ennio's cult movie scores, dig the giallo-ish bottle art. Props to Van Moll for doing a Morricone tribute beer and avoiding the obvious dull trap of referring to his spaghetti western scores with the bottle art. Aroma is cocoa with roasted malt, chocolate, tiramisu, coffee, marshmallow, caramel, espresso, and hopjesvla. Flavour is quite sweet with a firm roasted bitterness. Body is medium to full. Rich and bittersweet with a bold aroma and flavour, a pretty fitting tribute to the Master.

33cl can. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of sweet semi strong dark malt, chocolate, lacotose. Taste of mild roasted dark malt, vanilla, chocolate, tiramisu, lactose, not too strong.

Can, 10.2%. Brown sugar, dark malty bread aroma. Black colour. Fizzy brown head, but not entirely unstable. The flavour is quite sweet with a good note of dark malty bread like the aroma. A little coffee. Some warming alcohol and a little alcohol bitterness. Late sweetish, jammy malt note with some coffee bitterness. Tastes a lot like Doppelbock to me.

Bottle, 330 ml at Mout, Groningen. Black with dense tan head. Chocolate, some roastiness, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, pretty much a tiramisu. Medium sweetness, smooth texture. Medium bodied.

Blik thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een dun crème schuim. Het heeft een gebrande koffie achtige geur. De smaak is moutig, gebrand, chocolade en koffie.
