Behold, the Blackest Portals are open!

This Dark Wizard’s drink is a quaffable yet rich, dark brown lager presenting as black, with aromas of dark chocolate, dark bread crust, and the most subtle hint of dark dried fruit…

…did we mention that everything about it is dark? 🤓

[33cl can from Beer52.] A dark cola brown coloured pour with a loose tan head; malty aroma with a little spice; thin and sweet in the mouth with a dark rye bread crusts; and then some tart purple berries to finish. Rather good.

330ml can via Beer52. Poured into my huge 'JUDAS' glass at home on 6th March 2026, third beer in my mini world tour tasting session with myself and no one else. Dark brown body, off white wisp and collar on top. Malty molasses in the nose and initial taste, some dark chocolate notes try and push in. Not bad for a weak Black Lager. Wish they'd been brewing and had their tasting room open when I visited Lubeck!
