Kom in een flinke gang naar ons terras wanneer de zon op z’n best is, want dan is Oijens Witbier op z´n lekkerst. Heerlijk fris en met een typerende vanille-bananensmaak aan het einde van de slok. Een subtiel vleugje, dat is de kunst van het maken van een mooie witte.
Biertype: Een witbier op basis van 40% tarwe- en 50% havermout. Hopsoorten: Saaz en Challenger. Wat goed is, is goed.

Fles gekocht bij de brouwerij. Volgens etiket 5%. Helder lichtgeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is fris fruitig en licht kruidig bitter met iets van sinaasappel en een vleugje koriander.

On tap at Oijen. Murky golden colour, white head. Looks like a NEIPA with a huge amount of swirling fine sediment. Aroma of wheat, coriander seed, orange peel, sweet. Flavour is medium sweet, wheat, coriander seed, orange peel, yeast, light bitterness. Light bodied. OK-ish.

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Murky weird yellow-ish with white head. Wheat dough, coriander, quite herbal, some green veggies, soft yeast and a it of plastic. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Bit fizzy carbonation and anbout medium bodied. Not very good.

Bottle shared. Hazy dull golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast, dough, light banana, light citrus and herbal notes. Flavour is above light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy pale yellow color, medium sized white head. Aroma is typical witbier: wheat, coriander, yeasty banana. Taste wheat, sweetness, banana, yeast, sweetish perfumy a bit. Also too much of the herbs or spices, I guess coriander, in there. Don’t like it.

Tap @ brewery. Hazy yellow coloured, white head. Nose is wheat, bit of coriander, lemon icecream, sweet banana foam candy. A bit odd. Flavour is light wheat, sweet malty, and a bit of fruits. Medium carbonation. Slightly sweet finish.
