Capped 500 Liz brought back from the brewery. Pours ruddy dark amber - doing a Guinness with a foamy tan head that was huge. Aroma of toffee and dark fruit with some citrus hop. Med body or better. It's toffee malty, not dry, but not really sweet. Lots of malt. Quite bitter - West Coast IPA bitter - but not enough to wholly quell the malt. Pretty good drink.

500 ml bottle a gift from my son Enniskillen from the Utah State Liquor Store in Ogden. Nose is hoppy citrus, with hints of caramel, vanilla, and bourbon. Clear rusty amber with a medium beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, from the malty background with a hint of oaky vanilla.

500mL bottle pours with a clear amber to mahogany colored body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up malts, crystal malts, woody hops, some pine hops and grassiness. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of sweet malts, crystal malts, a dash of molasses and toffee and then sliding into the hoppy notes. I get woody and spicy hops as well as pine hops and thin earthy tea. This is a pretty solid imperial red with a nice balance and sippability.

Bottle from the Park City state store. Dark reddish brown and clear, off-white head. Boozy once it warms, but before that hops with malt underneath. Long finish.
