Strong clove nose, banana underneath. Clear ochre brown, thin yellow head. Clove flavor, a brief surge of banana, then nutmeg. Full body, mellow carbhonation. Maybe overdone with the bittering hops, but otherwise a very good weizen bock.

Smudged bottling date stamped green in the bottom left corner - I think it says 03/??/14.
This was poured into a weizen glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to brown color with a decent two finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was kind of all over the place.
The smell had the normal \"banana\" aroma of a weizenbock showing a nice strength about it. There was a nice caramel/chocolate/lightly spiced background to all of this.
The taste was quite flavorful through all of the previously mentioned flavors. There wasn’t any aftertaste, but there was a nicely spiced slightly dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation is fairly smooth and nice.
Overall, good weizenbock I’d be willing to have again.

22 oz. bottle from 7 -11 Kittery, ME. Dimpled mug displays a murky amber color with slowly fading white head. Great aromas! German yeast giving banana and clove phenols with some thick caramel notes.
The flavor is German yeast in its finest moment. Yeast byproducts of bubblegum, banana and clove incorporated with sweet caramel malts. Notes of apples and some dark fruit. The body really leans on the full/ thick side but still falls in the medium category. Kind of syrupy texture but NOT cloying. The yeast, sweet malts and dark fruit really marries well together. Overall this is like a slightly lighter version of Schneider Aventinus. Very nicely done by Southern Tier.

Pour is a muddy brown with a large tan head. Aroma is your typical banana/clove estery thing. Flavor is some dark wheat malt with a decent yeasty ester. Flavor is again a decent wheat-yeast with a big sugary finish with some alcohol showing. An ok bock with the esters but the sugar to get the alcohol up made it self known.

Pours amber into a snifter. Off-white head with medium retention recedes to oil surface. Banana and clove aromas. Soft with sweet banana and clove upfront turning to mildly bitter earth and bubblegum in the lasting finish.
