From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a light crystal clear pale gold with a thick frothy white head. Malty nose. Flavors of straw with some mild hoppiness, producing a lingering bitter finish. Quite smooth and crisp.

Pour is a clear golden with a average white head. Aroma is a nice mix of the rye malt and hops. Flavor is about the same. A nice spicy rye starts things out but after the swallow a decent bitter hop is left on the tongue. This was a nice rye-IPA style beer.

Draft at Beer Bistro. Thin head with attractive lacing action. Gold color just to the point of turning amber. Looks and tastes pretty malty, even chewy, without that much hop at the start. Halfway through the tulip glass, I start to pick up some of the European hop note, but it never gets overpowering. Then right at the end I caught a little bite of yeasty bock spice, a reminder that this is a style that can turn to bananas very easily. But this beer doesnβt.

Bottle: Bright golden pour, really quite vibrant. Creamy white head. Nose is soft with florals, rye, and herbal notes. Silky mouthful with rye, floral, more herbal notes, and light malty sweetness. Finishes soft and crisp at the same time. Very enjoyable.

On draught at New Belgium Hub at DIA. Pours a deep bronze color with a medium fluffy bone white head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of biscuit malt, hops and citrus. The finish is malty up front with an earthy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Super clear and light golden or perhaps a very light copper coloured body with a thick, five centimetre tall off-white head that leaves a sloppy lace and a zillion bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of nice bright grapefruit hops with a kick of light malt and a bit of metal. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppy flavour up front with the grapefruit and a bit of herbal flavours and a little apple and pear sweetness too. Aftertaste shows a more refined flavour with a good malt balance with a light acidic and sharp metallic note. Overall, a good light-ish beer with some pleasant hop notes and a good crisp flavour. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 02-April-2013 for US$4.49 sampled at home in Washington on 10-May-2013.
