Thinnish dark brown. Soft, touch of sugar. Thin body too.Nothing foreign about it. Also, past its prime, so maybe not the best time to make that assessment.

Bottle at Black Christmas 2017
Black color with large head. Dark malts aroma with dark fruits. Too much alchohol, thin body, earthy malts.

A pour from the bottle on Black Christmas V. Pours a hazy golden with a tan head. Aroma is berry bourbon. Similar taste, very fruity and roasted malt. Quite smooth and good.

Though retired, a buddy of mine had one and we had for a tasting/share.
Yup, my buddy says 2012 that this was bottled.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark brown close to black color with an ample half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was a light bubbly lacing.
The smell had a nice blend of sweet sugary vanilla to a light bourbon - esque subtly of a slight brown sugar.
The taste was extremely sweet with a moderate malty sweet chocolate. There’s a light sweet dried chocolate aftertaste leaving a slight dry slick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly good sipping quality about it. The carbonation was good for me and for the style.
Overall, good as a foreign stout. I’d have it again.

Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is strong wood, oak, english yeast. Thin mouthfeel with nice oak, roast, dark chocolate, light bitterness, lingering dry finish. Good.

Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting, picked up in Newport Ave Mkt - Bend, 13/07/13. Mid black with a thin tan head which dissipates to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, vanilla, oaky notes, brown sugar. Taste comprises vanilla chocolate milkshake, molasses, demerara sugar, subtle bourbon notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry in the execution. Well balanced and easy drinking fayre!

Bottle at Croydonia tasting. It pours dark brown (near black) with a small beige head. The nose is smooth, mellow, roasted malt, light toast, vanilla, fudge, dark chocolate and coffee. The taste is mellow, roasted malt, toast, caramel, bitter-sweet aspect, earth, charcoal, dark fruit, cocoa, vanilla and light bitterness. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Smooth, well-rounded and rather drinkable. Good stuff indeed.
