This porter poured a black colour with a tan coloured, rocky head. Light lacing. To the nose there are scents of caramel, coffee, cocoa and cereal. First sip was smooth and slightly bitter with strong flavour of coffee and burnt caramel. Finish is very lightly hoppy with the burnt flavour lingering on the palate.

(bottle) clear, dark brown colour with small tan head; aroma of roast, coffee; balanced, dry flavour, coffee is not overpowering like in many similar beers

A hard taste of smoked barbeque. There is little or no sourness in this porter, and the mocha taste a dead giveaway. It’s pretty decent - had it on tap. Been thinking about buying the bottle at licbo for a while but at ten bucks it’s fairly expensive...esp when trappist triples are going for six/seven bucks

A deep dark brown porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a peaty chocolate, coffee grinds and wood extract. In mouth, a nice smooth porter with light peaty notes, grassy, a bit light bodied but nice. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Oct. 1 2011.

750mL bottle, split with manuchampions, pours black with almost no head. Aroma of solid mocha with roasted espresso beans. Flavour of mild espresso beans, roasted notes and light chocolate. Flat, muted flavour profile - quite watery. Drinkable.
