On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and roast. Thin body, roast, licorice, cracker malt, dry finish, good.

Roast and caramel. A little milk. Burnt oatmeal. Dark chocolate. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at brewery.

Opaque colour, small beige head. Neutral, a bit toasted aroma. Light-bodied. Toasted, a bit sweetish, even licoricey flavour. Clean. Ok.

4 oz pour on draft at Isley. Plastic cup. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of roast, caramel, chocolate, light raisin. Tastes of roast, chocolate, light raisins. Medium body with a dry finish.

Draft at the brewery, 11/15/13. Pours a dark brown color with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of chocolate, roast, oats, mild tart fruits. The taste is chocolate, oats, sweet malts and a mildly bitter finish. Medium bodied.

12oz pour is a watery, opaque black with some fluffy off white head. Nice nutty nose, bread crust, malt, chocolate, coffee, some brown sugar. Flavor is solid, sweet, malty, brown sugar, sweetened coffee, toast. Dry, toasty finish. Very solid.
