In the spirit of scenic routes, back roads and uncharted waters, Muskoka Detour is a refreshingly adventurous beer for those who prefer to stray from the everyday. Dry-hopped and brewed as a sessionable IPA, it delivers a rewarding tropical aroma and a taste less travelled. A low ABV to enjoy all day long.

Draught @ TWH Social, Kitchener, ON. Pours hazy amber with small white head. Clear aroma of hops and fruit, with mild hints of malt and yeast. Mild, hoppy and fruity taste with notes of needles and malt. Bitterish aftertaste. Easily drinkable and not unpleasant. 100715

Can: Poured a yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention. Aroma of citrusy hops and light cereal notes is enjoyable enough. Taste is also a good mix between some light cereal notes with some citrusy hoppy notes and light bitter notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nicely brewed and refreshing but fell a little bit short on hops flavours.

Tallboy can from LCBO in Ottawa. Aroma is fruity hops (hard to tell from can) - but does smell like a session IPA somehow. Taste is light but with a good amount of tropical fruit hops, especially given the ABV. Moderate bitterness. Not too crisp or empty like some session IPAs. Would get again.

Bottle - Light grapefruit hops. Clear gold with a small white head. Grapefruit and nice light malt sweetness. Definitely a sessionable beer, just not as much hoppy characteristics as I would prefer.

Ahhhh. Free beer at my brotherβs house. Slightly cloudy golden. Little white head. Pine, mild citrus and resin hops, with a little hay malts nose. Taste cream and hay malts. Citrus, mild pine and with a bitter finish. Solid beer.

16o can courtesy of Rob and Karen. Faded, past its prime aroma...oily vegetal hop residue. A touch of seltzer, not really that impressive at all. Unfiltered hazy tan body. Poor example of the style, at least in the condition I drank it ( 1 month past expiration)

355mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is crip and dry, with piney hops and dry crackery malts. Flavour is bursting of dry piney hops and a dry crackery malt backing. Surprisingly big flavours for a 4.3% session IPA. Highly drinkable and nice and dry. Very good stuff.
