5 week old can A: Clear dark reddish brown pour with 1/2 of bubbly tan foam that held the ring and cap. S: Bitter chocolate and faint roast coffee. T: Follows the nose with roasty chocolate, coffee and a nice woody bitterness. But where's the caramel? M: Smooth and thin texture, light carbonation and sticky finish. O: Pretty good if not very complex.

This beer is a clear brown color with a medium light beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Roast malt, chocolate and slight hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, nuts and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

From my future son ion law. Aroma is quite malty. Taste is rather obtuse. Yes, malty carries over and its a little annoying. Reminds me a little of nes castle, no?

12oz pour at Charleston Beer Works, pours a clear brown with some slim head. Nose has brown sugar sweetness, some malt, faint chestnut honey, some dried fruit. Flavor is the same, overly sweet, fig, caramel, some orange. Messy finish.

12 oz. bottle. Dark brown, with a reddish hint and a small, tan head. The aroma is nice, light roast, oak, sherry, peat, and floral hops. Sweet and malty, with a light bitterness and some booziness. Medium body, creamy, a little acidic, and malty. This is an excellent brown ale! Nice, mellow nose, and good balanced flavor. Overall an approachable, complex, and delicious beer. I’m impressed!

Bottle - Toasted malts and cola. Clear bubbly brown with a thin head. Nice toasted malts, nutty and some light chocolate notes. Only a little over carbonated for my taste but overall pretty good.

A clear brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet nutty caramel malt with grassy character, roasted notes, OK. In mouth, nice roasted chocolate malt with grassy notes, light hops, not bad. Bottle from Courtyard Marriott Billy Graham, CLT.
