Golden in color, decoction brewed for a sweet malty body, and moderately hopped with German Hallertauer and Tettnang Noble hops. This delightfully easy drinking beer is referred to as a “Helles Lager” in Bavaria and synonymous for Bavarian Beer Culture. Like all good standards they are complex to brew and easy to drink.

Montana Original Lager is a Helles Lager brewed in strict accordance to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.

Keg at the brewery, 8/24/24. As Original Lager. New brewery! Brewery #2327, USA #1922, MT #18. Clear gold, medium white head, average retention. Aroma of Noble hops, bready malt. Taste is bready malt, citrus.

Tap. Pours clear yellow, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is biscuit, Noble hop, grass. Flavor is light sweet, very light bitter. Medium light body. Could use a tad more hop, otherwise solid for style

Draft at the source. Clear golden yellow, thick white head. Aroma if biscuity straw. Taste is lightly bitter lemon. Decent body.
