4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar after the DC RateBeer Tasting. Brown with beige head. Aromas of dark fruit, caramel, wood, acetone. Tastes of dark fruit, woody notes, acetone. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Not a fan.

Bottle shared by travlr. Thanks! Poured a lightly muddy brown color with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma was lots of dried fruits, some rasin. Sweet toffee, candi sugar notes. Smooth alcohol notes. Pretty impressed with this one for such a new brewery.

Bottle from the source shared with JStax and solidfunk. Clear deep ruby amber color. Aroma is vinous and tannic with fruit and light brandy. Taste is fruity, vanilla, plums. Not too much barrel. A good start!

16oz tulip at Meridian Pint. Pours a murky raisiny orange amber with some creamy, ringing white head. Nose is interesting, a fair amount of dried fruit, raisins, dates, some wood pulp, some candy sugar, a little unripened pear. Flavor has more malt than I imagined, caramel, candy sugar, more dried fruit, some white grape, a little herbal worm wood, the slightest bit sour. Full bodied, lightly tart, lightly hot finish.

A little oaky on the leave and a touch sour. Has some prune and raisin. Pours dark brown with good mocha head and lacing. Some sweetness in finish. Tap at whole foods.
