Wasatch Winterfest is a rich amber ale with caramel malt flavors and a large hop presence. Brewed with the finest Northwestern pale and caramel malts then generously hopped with Columbus and Amarillo hops. Crafted in the spirit and style of the Sierra Nevada Celebration. Inspiration? "This new seasonal was brewed to warm you through the cold winter months! Our Winterfest Ale makes a wonderful compliment to an epic day on the mountain, and the perfect companion around the fire. It’s our toast to Utah."

12oz bottle pours a clear copper amber with some lacing, off white head. Nose is very muddled, sweet, some brown sugar, some cake icing, some spice, some raisin, some root veg. Flavor is also muddled, sweet and astringent, a little sweet tea, some Splenda, dried apple slices. Slightly tannic finish. All over the place.

Bottle. Pours dark clear brown with thick lasting head and much lacing. Caramelly aroma. Good full flavour that gets better as the beer warms. Caramel, malt and some toffee.

Deep red-brown, maybe filtered. Lacy, foamy beige head. Smooth, fruity amber malt aroma. Rich and malt centered, despite a respectable hopping...nothing on Sierra in the regard. Still a pretty solid winter offering, brown and amber combination. Some faint vanilla, wood. Piny, soapy hop tastes, not so complex, but offer a steady bitterness. OK.

Sampled at Texas Beerfest. Pours a clear amber with a small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a raisin malt and fruit. Medium mouthfeel with a swet raisin and light hop. Very easy to drink, very good American strong ale from Wasatch.

Bottle: Pours a light amber color with an ample sandy head. Lots of sticky lacing. Nose is sweet, caramel and citrus with light florals. Tastes bold with citrus hops, caramel, and again, light florals. Lingering bitters in the tail. Very well balanced, smooth, and just plain enjoyable.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a tan head and a brown body. Aroma of raisins, chamomile tea and honey. Must have been a old bottle as there were not a large amount of hops...at all. Taste was sweet with caramel and a bit tea like. Medium bubbles.

courtesy of wasatch pours light brown, frothy beige head. Aroma is hoppy, caramel malts, with nice light roast. Flavor, same as aroma, profile leans toward a good roasted malts, chocolate and some spices, grainy and bready mouthfeeel. Finish with light hops, some chocolate. Tasty.

Courtesy of douglas88. Pours a striking amber with thin tan head. The aroma is musty with fruit and malts creating a pleasing sensation with the aid of a touch of molasses, spice and pine hop bitterness off in the background. I was expecting the taste to be as thick and rich as the nose but it starts thin and then moves into musty smushed up fruity goodness and modest pine hoppiness. Very nice. Seems almost barleywine like, which I like.
