Bottle. Quite refreshing tmavy. A little bit of astringency but otherwise a decent tmavy, not overly sweet, roasted, caramel, roasted roasted. Good one.

Quite dark brown, hazy, strong creamy lasting tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, caramel and roasted malt with some small amount of sourness. Taste is medium sweet caramel, decent amount of chocolate, bread, roasted finish and again some sourness. Low+ herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, moderate+ carbonation. There’s a certain amount of "dirtiness" and sourness which is not entirely pleasant. Although some bottles can be less sour... Up. 2016: Chlorophenolic... Stop!! Every half a year I give it another go and it’s worse every time. Stop doing that!

50cl bottle at Tolkien House pours a murky deep brown with lots of creamy, off white head. Nose has toast, brown bread, mild grains of Paradise, some tree bark. Flavor is true to style, dried biscuit, toasted brown bread, some yeast, light cocoa powder. Dry finish.

Bottle. Pours clear hazel, large puffy tan head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is light, roasty, a bit smoky, grain. Flavor is light sweet, a bit smoky, roasty, hints of coffee, light bitter, some acidity, a touch sour. Medium body, high carbonation. Not sure I get the high ratings for this one.

Bottle at Buzz Bar. Deep brown body with a medium beige head. Light lacing. Aroma of burnt toast scrapings, raisins and fig. Flavour of chocolate, orange, ash and yeast. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Straightforward but tasty.

Bottle 500 ml, courtesy of and shared with JFK. Pours dark brown. Beige head. Hoppy aroma. Roasted malts and hoppy dry bitterish finish. Would be better if it had more body. Best one from Bujska pivovara.

Jun ’14. A 0.5 l bottle from Vrutak store, Zagreb. It poured hazy dark brown body with bigger beige head. Yeasty, "homebrew" aroma - touched with unpasteurized hops. Secondary aromas came later, including some nuts, caramel, wood and making it quite complex. Flavor was lightly bitter, not so sweet as aroma suggested, which is always a good thing. However, it was relatively thin in body making its qualities too subtle for my taste. Coffee, chocolate, raisins, nuts, wood...complex in its subtlety, made this really a nice surprise after huge disappointment in their other two beers that still suffer from same flaws as in the beginning, reflecting it only a little bit on this one’s nose.

0.5 bottle at the brewpub, they don’t have it on tap. Murky dark brown with off white long lasting head. Aroma of dark fruits, yeast, sweet and some bitterness from roasted barley. Medium body and lightly carbonated, very well balanced and drinkable. A superb dark beer!
