Bottle at the brewery. Pours a cloudy amber with beige head that lasts. The aroma is nuts, caramel, and yeast. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, pure sugar, light finish, very good.

Bottle thanks to arminjewell shared at Anchorage Sept ’14 Tasting: Poured a brown dingy color with a off white to light tan head. Aroma is dark fruits, sugary, and caramel. Taste was mixed fruits mainly of the darker variety, sweet sticky caramel and toffee malts, and Belgian yeast esters.

10oz pour at Scion DC. Pours a translucent copper amber with some off white head. Nose is a little all over the place, some malt, some grain, some clove, banana, a little bubblegum, some candy, a little booze. Flavor is the same, incongruous, boozy, overly sweet, candy sugar, a flick of acid too which does nothing to cut the sugar, bubblegum, clove, soggy cracker. Medium bodied finish. Not my favorite.

From a bottle served at the Funkwerks beer dinner at Birch and Barley, DC. Fruity nose. Flavors of raisins and caramel. Light bodied, with a smooth mellow finish.

Tap @ Funkwerks. Pours a bit hazy orangish brown appearance with a light brown head. Caramel, a bit nutty, apple, banana, toasted malty aroma. Herbal, lightly floral, nutty, slightly burnt malty, banana flavor that finishes a touch dry. Nothing special.
