PROJECT 026.2026 Modern West Coast IPA

Brewed in collaboration with the legends at Blood Brothers Brewing @bloodbrothersbrewing in ๐“๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐จ, this beer comes from crossing paths at their brewery and bringing that energy back to the West Coast. With recipe input from their experience and a lineup of some of our favourite hops for the style: ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐š, ๐’๐ข๐ฆ๐œ๐จ๐ž ๐‚๐ซ๐ฒ๐จ, ๐„๐ค๐ฎ๐š๐ง๐จ๐ญ, ๐Œ๐จ๐ฌ๐š๐ข๐œ, packed with character.

Expect bold stone fruit aromas with a ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ edge, followed by citrus mandarin peel and a punch of ripe berry. It finishes dry with medium-high bitterness, and at 6.66% it drinks ๐๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ฒ easy while keeping plenty of personality.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold yellow with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Dank, fruity aroma of pale malt, mandarin orange, peach, mango, mint and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of pale malt, blueberry, peach, mango, pineapple, cantaloupe and pine resin in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and easy to drink.

473 ml can. Pours a very dull gold with moderate head. Aromas of lemon, melons, generally dank hops and light wheaty malts. Flavor of melons, grass, pine, bitter lemon, lupulin powder, and sharp wheaty malts. Harsh.

Slight haze. Thin head. That aroma brings tears to my eyesโ€ฆfucking onion city. Hop burn, too. Like they were tasked with making a prime exemplar of everything thatโ€™s wrong with hazy IPA. Clinical. The best part is reading after the fact that it's supposed to be a west coast IPA. Like...have you ever had a WC IPA before?

Poured from 473mL can (pkg Mar 04, 2026). Chill hazed blonde with small white head. Melon and pine hops with light dankness, fairly clean, decent.

On tap at Threefold. Pours hazy blonde with a white head. Lots of pine, resin, and some tropical fruit notes on the nose. Flavour has crisp pine, dry allium, citrus peels, and a clean cracker malt base. Great, vibrant hop expression. Fantastic.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has some dank, melony hops, light pine, and a touch of allium. Flavour is assertively hopped, with lots of bitter piney hops, melon, citrus peel, gentle dankness, and a crisp biscuity malt base. Piney hop bitterness and just enough tropical character on the finish. Excellent.
