This beer was brewed in collaboration with Naparbier of Pamplona, Spain. An easy going 3.8% with a gentle, noble hop character, this refreshingly dry grisette gets its light funk and acidity from mixed fermentation in stainless steel.

Bottle from the source. Bottle opens with a pop and foams over onto my desk filling the room with its essence. Pours a murky pale straw color with a decent sized rocky peaked white head that dissipates slowly. Aromas of lemon cereal and lots of yeasty earthy funk. The flavor is faint cereal graininess with hints of tart lemon and lots of earthy a funk. Light body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a somewhat watery mouthfeel. Light, tart, easy drinking beer. Would make a great all day summer drinker.

What the Funk, Denver, October 2014. Bottle. Pours a light yellow appearance with a white head. Quite effervescent. Grassy, tart, and dry flavor with some lemon, herbs, and light funk. Fine beer but didn’t blow me away. (3.6)
Update from a bottle with a little more age. This has more funk, pineapple/tropical fruit, and some mild tartness. Spritzy. Fine (3.9)
