Canned. Yellow pour and the like. A weird overripe fruity aroma was present rendering it kind of blah

Month old can > tulip A: Clear medium yellow with a short-lived head that fell to nothing. Big slow bubbles but nothing to leave any lace. S: Bready scent with some earthy/musty and herbal/leafy hop notes. T: Musty white grape flavor with some sweet bread and an off-putting sour note, maybe turning a little fruity. M: Medium light with low to average carbonation and a lingering sweetness on the finish. O: Below average overall and not cheap.

Thanks altonbrownd for the can! Poured into a snifter showing neon yellow with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows a lot of sweet lager malts. Caramel with a very slight corn profile. The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of light bready malt and a light pilsner-like bitterness on the finish. Drinks like a German lager without a lot of character.

This was poured into a stange.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow color with a two finger white foamy to bubbly head that quickly dissipated leaving no lacing.
The smell had a sweet light lemon lacing around a sweet grassy hops.
The taste was mainly the same as the smell leaving no aftertaste nor finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a super sessionability about it. Carbonated appropriately as a kolsch, this one had a smooth sweet appeal rolling over my tongue.
Overall, kolsch fans need to jump on this one. I would have it again.

Draft at Champion. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of malt, citrus, light herbs. Tastes of malt, citrus, light wheat. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Can from Wine Warehouse, CHO. Pours yellow with too big of a head - spills out of my glass. Smells like a cheap lager. Miller Lite? It’s been years but that’s what comes to mind. Taste is grass, green peppers, cheap lager.

Can. Decent kolsch, a style I usually find boring. Grain; smooth palate and malt; maybe a little sweet but pretty close to the real thing.

Draft at the source. Crystal clear yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of plain lager. Taste is very lager like.

Can: Hay, mildly shitty aroma. Hazy golden, thick head. Sweet hay with a bitter grassy finish. Medium body, well hopped. Drinks more like a north German pilsner.
