Woodstock Milk Stout Vanilla Bean is designed to be an incredibly flavorful stout with deep layers of flavor and texture that will not weigh down your palate. Pouring like molten chocolate into your glass, it carries flavors and aromas of chocolate milk, cocoa powder, freshly roasted coffee, and caramel. The addition of freshly scoured vanilla beans complements its creamy texture and lends a wonderful note of vanilla lattes. A fluffy texture adds to the desirability of this beautiful beer.

Can from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque, black with thin, quickly fading head, no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, lactose, vanilla. Taste is strong lactose, vanilla over roasted malt. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. A vanilla milk stout. Nothing more, nothing less.

16 oz can. Aroma shows a steady amount of vanilla with soft chocolate malt. Flavor follows with the addition shoe leather and a mild bitterness for balance. Decent roast. Medium plus body with a silky, smooth texture. Real good.

Undated can from CLW, drunk 4/17/26. Thanks, Chris!
Fairly rich cocoa with mild vanilla bean gives a good aroma without too much lactose character (still plenty). Low roast and mild dark fruit with some crusty, toasty malts in there and no alcohol.
Sweet and rich but pretty good attenuation and not syrupy. Vanilla bean fights the lactose and I think emerges victorious. Light creaminess, lots of mocha, lower roast, quite fruity. Not sure it reaches 7.2% abv worth of flavor, but it's fairly balanced, at least, and like the nose, not chalk full of lactose.
