This classic Dry Irish Stout embodies its name with a lean body and rich roasted character. Notes of coffee and dark chocolate emerge from the midnight pour, while a crisp, dry finish keeps it dangerously sessionable. Built in the tradition of the great Irish stouts but brewed with our own sensibility that tastes just as good in a worn pub corner as it does at a celebration. A beer that reminds us the best pleasures in life don’t require a crown, just a glass and good company.

On tap at Threefold, pours a deep dark brown / black with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, earthiness, and a touch of cocoa powder. Flavour is dry, with toasted malt, earthiness, and a touch of cocoa. Dry, toasty and smooth. Solid for what it is.

Dark brown, medium head. Thinnish body, a bit of cocoa, chocolate accents. Moderate bitterness. I like the malt complexity, but the body and rather weak finish don't appeal to me.
