Tap at taproom. Vintage 2016 spent 12 months in bourbon barrel, abv 10%. Opaque black colour, tiny beige head. Aroma has bourbon booze, vanilla, toffee and toastyness. Medium-bodied. Flavour has bourbon burn, vanilla, wood, even dark chocolate. Quite boozy.

Draft at the brewery during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear amber with a mild, creamy white head. The nose holds bread, toasted toffee and seared wood. Medium to big sweet flavor with rich toffee character, some wood, light vanilla, earthy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately warming on the finish, with further bread, bitter leaves, earth and toffee. Nice one.
