Sometimes the world shrinks. A brewer in Sweden has dinner with his singing cousin who, as it seams, knows a Belgian brewer. After a quick introduction the idea of a collaboration to celebrate the 10 year aniversary of the song group Kongero was born - and the rest is as we say history. Kongero is a continuously hopped super saison. Hops used are Magnum, Saaz, Hallertauer Tradition and Chinook.

Flaska. Ett rätt stökigt öl. Delarna är goda men helheten sticker iväg åt alla möjliga håll. Mycket citrus, stor torrhet, lite rök, lite trä.

Off white tight bubbly head stayed on a slightly effervescent tea coloured body. Yeast, herbs & outdoor aroma. Medium bodied, full airy mouthfeel with a thinning clean finish. Bitter hoppy tastes of herbs, spice, funk, underripe fruit & yeast with a slightly dull finish followed by a tangy aft.

Keg at GBBF. It pours hazy orangey golden with a thick white head. The aroma is grassy, weedy, spice, nougat, cereal, pear, melon, white grape, hay and hearty bread. The taste is dry, bitter, vinous, white grape, melon, pear, apple skin, spice, earth and fruit skin with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty pleasant.

On keg at Brewdog Lothian Rd, Edinburgh. Appearance - pale golden with a neat lacy head. Nose - dried fruit, possibly sultanas. Hint of dried orange too. Taste - musty raisins, overripe figs. Mince pies. Palate - medium bodied and tangy throughout. Overall - challenging up front but long tangy palate makes it.
