Some guy at The Sampler, Brooklyn: pours black with a small head. Aroma is coffee and whatever sour ale funk you would expect. Taste is sour and slightly sweet then comes with a roasty coffee finish. Not bad.

Bottle at Epic Sour Tasting 2014 courtesy of nimbleprop, thanks! Pitch black color. Aroma of vinous cocoa. Taste is port wine, licorice. Dark sours are always a little bit odd to me, this one is no exception.

Bottle at WWBA. I need the label for this one. If anyone has one, please let me know. I just need an empty. Pours black with tan head. Nose/taste of cocoa, funk and sour fruits. Medium body.

4oz pour at the brewery. Pours a murky brown with some spitty off white head. Nose is all over the place, sour fruit, some currant, cherry, vinegar, a little wood pulp. Flavor has a bit more of the malt, soggy cracker, raisin, cherry, heavy lime. Oily finish.

A smokey mess of sourness. Finishes bitter and astringent, without focus. Some cherry. Bottle thanks to Nimbleprop at Epic Sour Tasting.
