hazy orange to amber colour, large, dense ecru head; aroma of orange peel oils, grapefruit, some tangerine, apricot jam, canned pear and oatmeal notes; well balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; I like it

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 31A: rye / 18B). Can 44 cl - Batch L1353 0302 (BB: 11.26) AROMA: medium-high hop aroma (grapefruit, pine, slight lime and lupulin). medium-low to low soft malt background. APPEARANCE: pale orange to yellow color and hazy. medium-large white head with good retention. TASTE: initial medium hop flavor (grapefruit, pine). medium soft malt background, almost neutral, with slight sweetness. medium to medium-high bitterness with a semi-dry and bitter finish that persists. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with a velvety texture. medium to medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: although it wasnt detected any rye characteristics, the overall presentation and texture gives it more richness that a regular pale ale.
