Something seems a little off in concept here. Light dark chocolate without much head or lacing. Some espresso. A little more watery in texture than usual for style. Tap at brewpub.

4oz pour at the brewery. Mostly opaque black with some clumpy, off white head. Nose is quite nice, sweet, molasses, some dark toast, malt, a little licorice, some pencil lead, a little cola. Flavor has a touch of soy, some pencil lead, heavy molasses, a little boiled down cola extract, a bit of birch, some toast. Medium bodied, sticky finish. Nice.

Draft at the source. Poured a dark brown, with ruby tones on the edge of the glass and a small off-white head. Aroma was nice sweet roasted notes, some toffee, caramel notes. Some light coffee bitterness. Roasted, creamy. Enjoyable.
