A fresh Belgian-style witbier with a soft, rounded body. Bright orange peel and coriander are layered with grapefruit, lime and subtle herbal notes, while classic Belgian yeast adds delicate clove and bubblegum. Crisp, light and refreshing to the finish.

Keg draught at Tønne, Leicester. LIght cream/yellow, hazy with a small tight white head. Light spicy aroma, some bitter orange. Balanced taste, not too sweet, gentle cooking spice with a surprising bitterness in the finish. Watery body with not quite enough carbonation to mask this. Good enough, but too dialled back.

I've abandoned the Rochdale Easter Ale Trail as I always do for this hazy golden brew, which is hoppy, more pale than wit, with very mild herbal qualities. Not a wit for me, not in a regular sense anyway, but it's a worthy beer.
