Deep brown-amber coloured with a rich smokey aroma. Flavours of caramel, chocolate and peated malts. With it's silky smooth, lightly smokey, roasty character it is a fantastic gold medal winning example of the style!

Good off white head over a brown body. Malty aroma but a bit restrained for the style. The flavor follows correctly at first, but fails to develop fully and there is a slight sourness to the finish. Decent, but not great.

Dark chestnut colour. Slightly mapley, smokey, toffeeish aroma. Toffeeish, slight milk chocolate malts hold up a peaty, wood y palate. Finishes off-dry, with a rousing dose of hops. Slight thinness is the only serious worry here.
