A big, unfiltered American IPA built to accompany the big Eastern Winter. Just like an epic bluebird day follows a snow storm, a peppery build from the Rye-malt accompanies glorious hop notes of pine, citrus and fresh grass. The bold Rye-malt backbone warms the soul, whether after a long day on the slopes with your buds, or just sitting in front of the fireplace at home.

it's really good, but unfortunately, the good hoppy flavor doesn't last very long.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Aroma is resin, pine, citrus, spice. Appearance is hazy gold with good sparkle, two-finger head white foamy head with sticky foamy lacing. Taste is as aroma. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and lively carbonation accentuating spiciness from the rye. Overall, a nice IPA that gets a little extra boost/interest from the rye addition.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/6/2014. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready rye malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine, citrus rind, and spicy rye bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, light caramel, spicy rye bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready rye malt flavors; with a crisp malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and resinous/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent rye IPA. All around great complexity and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready rye malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a thirty seconds. Light lacing strung about the glass.
The smell had a nice balanced blend of sweet citrus over top of a light grapefruit, fresh and bright with a light grassiness coming in and out.
The taste was bittersweet thoroughly balancing a crisp light spice into the mix. A sweet to lightly spiced aftertaste leads to a decent balanced dry to wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation hit appropriate for the style and for me. Nice bittersweet grapefruit harshness rolls over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA that I could have again.

Bottle from Harvest Market. Wicked tangerine, but a bit heavy on the mineral.

Bottle: Hazy, orange-brown with a puffy, off-white head. Orange and orange-peel aroma.Rye malt, caramel, orange flavour... Herbal/pine hopping. A very nice rye....not overly spiced. Very solid.
