A rich, malty Wee Heavy style Scotch ale, brewed with 100% barley malt, hops, water and yeast. Draft - Rich toffee and nice brown sugars. Deep dark brown with a decent Light brown head. Toffee and nice toast with a bit of bitterness. Just like a gingerbread sticky pudding. Nice.

Cool to run into one of these beers in D.C. Hope more Canadian breweries begin to export, and would definitely like to see some King heffy show up around these parts. Pours brown with decent head and lacing. Some oak with some barley mash malt. Light citrus sour element in finish. Tap at Black Squirrel.

Amber-brown, thin head. Aroma has butter, some crackery thin malts, and maybe a little woodiness. Woody taste, still catching the diacetyl, sweet malt. Gotta get rid of the butter to let the ingredients shine.

1L bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of wood, oak barrels, and a little bit of smokiness to it. Flavour brings out semi-sweet caramel malts, a bit of wood, a touch of smoke (but not as much as on the nose), and a very subtle oak barrel presence. Actually fairly light on the palate, but full-bodied with very light use of the oak barrels. Good stuff.
