Spinosaurus is a Mango IPA brewed with real mango and zero sour character. It's the first release in Urban Artifact's Dino line - a brand new series of clean, fruit-forward beers built for drinkers who want big fruit flavor without tartness or funk.

Hop-forward with a clean, dry finish and an unapologetic amount of real mango throughout. It drinks like a well-made craft IPA that happens to taste exactly like the fruit on the label - because it does. No extract. No flavoring. Real mango.

If you've had a UA Fruit Tart and loved the fruit quality but wanted something without the tartness, this is that beer. If you've never tried Urban Artifact because sour beer isn't your thing, this is where you start.

Most fruit IPAs use hop-derived tropical notes and call it "mango-forward." Spinosaurus uses actual mango - the same obsessive approach to real fruit that Urban Artifact has applied to its Fruit Tart lineup since day one, now on a traditional IPA base.

The Dino line uses conventional brewer's yeast instead of the wild cultures that produce tartness in UA's core beers. The result is clean, bright, and immediately approachable without sacrificing any of the fruit quality the brewery is known for.

The IPA drinker who wants more fruit and less bitterness. The craft beer fan who's been waiting for a mango IPA that actually tastes like mango. The person whose friend keeps handing them Urban Artifact beers they can't finish. Spinosaurus was built specifically for all three.

Spinosaurus is the first release in Urban Artifact's Dino line - a series of clean, non-sour fruit beers brewed with real ingredients and traditional yeast. Every Dino line beer is distinct in style, distinct in occasion, and built for accounts and drinkers that UA's Fruit Tart lineup doesn't reach. More dinosaurs are coming.

Can for 2.5$ at vintage estate. Looks like grapefruit juice, smells like grapefruit juice. No head. OH, very bitter, not like most other urban artifact brews I've had. Yes, almost phenolic in bitterness, quite unnatural, even for an IPA. Where is the mango? Is it hidden? Non existent. The sharp rude not-IPA bitterness reminds me of that taste you get from an immature brewer who has not straightened out his brewing yet. Rather rude, would not recommend this even to an IPA lover. Quafability quotability factor is very close to zero, hehehhehh. The impolite discourteous flavor is something to be reckoned with, I couldn't even tell if it had any co2 in there, or if it was simply mouth coating. If it wasn't for the appearance or the aroma, this would rate just as bad as UA Fruited IPA, whew. There, you have it.

Canned 3/2/26, drunk 4/13/26.
Nose is a mix of pretty deep malt (cookie, caramel, white bread) and rich mango. Hops are in here too, thankfully and the mango plays nicely, but is quite forward (yet authentic).
Sweet maltiness up front quickly joined by a healthy hop bitterness. Has the hop and malt profile of an older WC IPA style, but the mango softens and enlivens everything here. Robust bitterness balances nicely, as pine and grapefruit float about with fruity, sweet mango and rich malts. Could be a bit more polished; it's rather rough around the edges, and there's a lot more caramel (and slight oxidation?) than I'd prefer.
