Bottle. Hazy pale yellow color. Aroma of softly sour summer fruit, very nice. Taste is sour white wine, vanilla, peach. Good stuff.

22 oz bottle at the DC Local Tasting. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, rum, gin. Tastes of gin, rum, hot booze, light tart fruit. Medium body with a dry and warm finish.

22oz bottle pours a clear gold with some creamy, bubbly white head. Nose has a lot of nail polish, some gin, a little juniper, allspice, some vanilla, some candy sugar, clove. Every time you smell it, you get a little something new. Flavor has booze, citrus, a lot of lemon-lime soda, some fish pepper, herbs, juniper, allspice, orange juice, mildly vegetal, a little soap, some tropical fruit. Oily finish. Odd, but really interesting.

Gin beats the rum. Barrel beats the beer. Some floral yeast. Citrus. Barrel doesn’t completely dominate here - there is some sense of underlying beer here. Gets better after a few sips though. Light sour, tart finish with light sweetness. Actually works ok. Bottle shared by Nimbleprop.

Ginger and lime nose. Hazy golden, thin head. Juniper and lime flavor. Light and spritzy mouthfee. Ok, this is not at all what I was expecting. Not much in the way of gin, and even less of rum. The name is very misleading. On the other hand, this was a delightfully tasty and unique beer.
