440ml can. Clear amber with a huge off-white head. Aroma of piney resin, grapefruit, malts. Taste is very piney and resinous up front, orange, grapefruit, marmalade and caramel malts, a little biscuity, assertive bitterness. Medium bodied. Solid kit.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear deep golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cooked orange, melon rind and watermelon. Flavour of grapefruit and straw. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Clean and hoppy.

Can direct from Fierce. It pours clear amber to light brown with decent fluffy white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, sticky, sappy, fresh pine, resin, green, floral, marmalade, grapefruit and a touch of sherbet. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, green, pine needles, west coast dankness, sappy, resin, pithy, zesty, biter citrus peel, orange rind, grapefruit, pomelo, peppery spice, light toffee and a nip of booze. Finish is zesty and bitter. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice west coaster.

Nose - dank, floral, resin, orange and pine.
Taste - pine resin, bitter orange and then toffee and a woodiness at the back.
Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy middle and very bitter finish.
Overall - good example of the style.
