The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, gateaux, bourbon, spicy rye whiskey, fruity rum, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, coffee, warming booze, lightly toasted spice and touch of cinder toffee with a smooth, warming finish. Fulsome body and average carbonation. Not as sweet as the regular vbm series, which is. A ig plus for me. Flavourful and moreish.
