Pours a light yellow-gold, with middling head. Aroma and flavor are very grassy. Bitter and grassy a not a whole lot else.

12oz bottle. Sparkling Ale is one of those stylistic descriptors you rarely see. Unfiltered yellow-tan with some small floaties. Foamy glass rimming white head. I’d be more comfortable calling this a Golden Ale. Kind of a straightforward Golden Ale in most respects. The NZ hops are its most enjoyable characteristic. OK.

Pour is a bright golden with a small white head. Aroma is some honey malt, a bit of onion hop and a overall dryness. Flavor is a nice dry cracker pils malt to start, then comes a decent grassy hop with a little fresh citrus in there. This was a decent beer and one that has more to offer than I thought. Plenty flavorful even with the low alcohol.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Clear orange-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, fruit and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at the brewery. I might have called it a golden ale. Moderately hopped and a light malt base. Some dry, grassy hop bitterness in the flavor. It is well balanced, I will give them that. Fairly light and sessionable; i did not realize the alcohol was quite so low.
