The latest in the AKIRA series is a single hop IPA using Kamifurano Cascade Hop.
In the middle of the hop harvest, we brew Harvest Brew using fresh hops, and after all the harvest is over, we will use the pelleted "Kamifurano Cascade" for the first time this year.
The cascade of American hops generally features citrus and floral aromas, but the Kamifurano cascades that "AKIRA" is working on is the same “citrus” every year, and the expression varies depending on the year, such as the gorgeousness like orange and the exhilaration like lime. In order to confirm this year's character, we are looking forward to "Hatsumono AKIRA IPA".
A simple base malt is added with some sugars and a clean wort is designed. In Whirlpool, a luxurious amount of hops was added to blend the aroma firmly.
Even before dry hopping, a strong aroma reminiscent of white grapes stands out, and it shows an expression that feels like a finished shape already. From here, the aroma as an IPA is further pursued, and the liche-like licor-like nuance appears in addition to white grapes by double dry hopping. You can fully feel the potential of the production cascade in FY2025.
IBU is modest 50. While avoiding excessive bitterness, the contrast with gorgeous aromas has been adjusted to balance the sulsul and drinkable.
It is a cup where you can fully feel the charm of Kamifurano Cascade Hop.
