24 oz can from Fred Meyer, $2. My wife's grandfather worked for Schlitz in Milwaukee, when they were still one of the big brewers. Memories of getting f@#$ed up on The Bull in college (early 80's). So, flash forward to 2018, and this malt beast is sitting here, challenging me. Initial impression...it's not horrible. Big malt presence with some heavy corn accents. Bright golden pour with small, tight creamy white head. Aroma is malts, grains, slightly vegetal. Tadste is more of the malts with a hint of alcohol. Sticky, sweet, malty finish with a light burning sensation. Thats the first two sips...this could be it for the evening. Or my next rating will be completely nonsensical and incoherent.

Can at Cotteridge Convention 2. Thanks to Leighton for this style whopper. Pours golden with thin white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma of corn, farts and apple. Tastes of varnish and apple and a little malt. Not the best.

Can at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. “Cellared” for a year or two by Leighton….. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The aroma is musty, rather farty, sweetcorn, boiled veg, white bread & butter, graininess and nail varnish. The taste is crisp, bitter – sweet, boosty raw alcohol, paint stripper, tangy fruits, chemically/acetone vibe and apple with a dry, hot finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit rough and sweet, not the “very smooth” experience I was hoping for.

Can shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. This one I picked up in the US. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a big, frothy white head. The nose has sugary cereal, dough, light lemon. Medium sweet flavour, sugary, with doughy white bread, some apples. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming in the finish, with ripe citrus, white bread, accents of melon. Good malt liquor.

From a can. Cotteridge Beano v2. Yellow. White head. Nose has green apple. Paint thinner. Taste is sweet. Some smoke, unexpectedly. Burns on the way down. Crap, but not awful.
