This brew pours midnight-black with a velvety tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, toasted marshmallow and roasted peanuts rise gently, wrapped in soft lactose sweetness. Aging on charred American oak lends notes of vanilla, caramel and a touch of smoke, like a campfire beginning to glow.
On the palate, it’s creamy, nutty and gloriously indulgent, layering cocoa richness with toasted oak spice. The finish lingers smooth and mellow, swaggering off into the night with a wink — because maybe, just maybe, you’re
gonna be the one that saves me from ordinary stouts.

2026 Clitheroe Beer Festival #17. Black keg pour. Coconut with sugars in aroma, but all quite tasty. Lactose makes up the rest, prominent in aftertaste.
