Our aboriginal farmhouse ale is open fermented with brettanomyces and brewed with Australian Galaxy and New Zealand Motueka hops. Highly aromatic with bright citrus and tropical fruit flavors.

Tap - aged three months in the Right Proper cellar according to the menu. Pours a cloudy golden with a large puffy white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is bright and fruity, tons of citrus, passionfruit, nice Brett funk, basement, mango, wet leaves. Flavor has just a faint touch of sweetness, dry overall, a lot of bright fruity punch, Bretty, just a nip of citrusy tartness and a light overall bitterness. A ton of fresh hop fruity bite given the aging. At times it almost felt like there was fresh citrus juice in the mix. Light body. This was a really nice experience. I am glad I got to try it. Kudos to the Right Proper brewmaster for this one.

Growler shared by OldSock at the DC Summer Saison & Sour Tasting, 7/12/14. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready malt, lime, herbal notes and a bit of pickle. The taste is intense herbal hops, citrus, tropical fruits, peppery yeast. Medium bodied, lingering tart fruits.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear golden color with a small white head, mostly wispy. Aroma is some floral notes, light lemon and a touch of yeasty spices. Flavor has a night light floral character, some tasty malt, not a lot of funk - perhaps a touch, but nothing too crazy. Nice juicy tropical fruits though.

Nice bitter hay-like aroma that I really like. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Finishes a little bitter. Average carbonation. Citrus hops on head. Tap at brewpub.
