Los Vivos y Los Muertos, The Quick and The Dead

We bring delight to our dance of a decaying mortal tune. The beauty of contrasts, of opposites and the shores on which they clash is the inspiration behind Los Vivos y Los Muertos. When The Rare Beer Club asked us to brew up something from the fringe of our imagination, we thought what better and more appropirate for this autumnal season than this?

Cheers and Mahalo Plenty

Tectactoe sharing this 750, cheers! Bright gold, huge head. Aroma is light lime peel, dusty yeast, light bread.

The body is light, zesty, big lime zest shows again. Sourness is mild but tartness is alive and well. Lingering lime. Yeasty, bready finish ... Some botanical notes... Not to shabby, thanks Tony.

GABF 2014. Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a light tan head. Really not an enjoyable beer. Lots of green olives and green herbal notes. A little bit of spiciness and citrus but overall, just a veggie flavor taste. Kind of surprised that others at GABF didn’t experience a similar flavor. Maybe I got a pour from a bad bottle.

Sampled at Where the Wild Beers Are, 6/7/14 (I'm keeping this a little shorter than my normal rating style to help catch-up my backlog a little faster)
A hazy golden beer with a pretty interesting flavor. There's a good deal of stuff going on here.

Bottle thanks to my mom! Pours a hazy light gold with a slight orange hue and an off-white head that dissipates. Aroma has lots of sweet fruits with some veggie, light spice and a good amount of Belgian yeast. Flavor has sweet fruit, a bit of squash, Belgian yeast and a dry finish.
