(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 16 July 2026) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief beige head. Malty, roasty nose with chocolate, sweet black coffee and cacao. Malty, roasty taste with notes of chocolate truffles, sweet black coffee, cookies, caramel, spices (cinnamon, ginger) and a mild cacao bitterness. Medium body, quite sweet. Rich, smooth and well balanced. Very nice.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 15th July 2026. Almost impenetrably black with tan foam and spot lacing. Rich and intense dark chocolate aroma. Spicy roast malt wash with dark chocolate and fresh coffee. Resounding coffee and dark chocolate finish. Full bodied with a rich and smooth finish. Absolutely exquisite.
