4oz pour at Churchkey DC pours a murky, burnt orange with a ring of off white head. Nose has lots of vanilla, honey, rotting fruit, honey, some candied pecans. Flavor is vanilla, mild spice, honey... but not much else. A little custard, but the flavor is a bit weak. Certainly one note. Sticky, oily finish.

A little boozy with a kind of baklava taste, and my rating is biased because I’m not a huge fan of the treat. A little boozy with some barrel elements here. Finishes with light sweetness and light sourness, some honey. Thanks to Travlr for sharing this at Churchkey tap feature event.

Draft at Churchkey during DC Craft Beer Week. Poured a cloudy amber color with a small white head. Aroma was sweet honey - like what you’d get when you smell Baklava. Flavor was sweet caramel, honey, with some butterscotch, flaky goodness in there. Perhaps they nailed the smell better than the taste, but it was good.

Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy amber color. Aroma of candied caramel icing. Taste is sweet and rich butterscotch.
