Dit rookbier dankt zijn karakteristieke smaak aan het gebruik van turfgerookte mout. Van oorsprong komt het rookbier uit de Beierse bierstad Bamberg en omgeving en krijgt steeds meer interesse bij de Nederlandse brouwers en bierliefhebbers.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 23 Feb 2017) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, smoky nose with smoked sausage, smoked salmon and dried fruit. Malty, smoky taste with notes of smoked salmon, bread, dried fruit and a slight smoky acidity in a finish with a gentle bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fairly odd and not really balanced, the smoked fish was a bit unexpected. Still, quite enjoyable.

Bottle shared with Deanso. Near clear red amber with a small tan head. Aroma of big smoky bacon, caramel and malt. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
