Two years after Gordon’s Comfort Mild was brewed at Omnipollos Kyrka, here we finally are with Karl’s Mild! The 4th instalment of our dark mild collab with Omnipollo!

After the sweetest surprise that they chose to name two of their versions of the mild after Gordon and myself, we couldn’t wait to return the gesture.

This is such a beautifully balanced brew, super roasty but with just the right amount of sweetness to make it feel like a big welcoming hug.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear ruby/brown body with a thin beige head. No visible carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of Dr Pepper, bovril and dumpling. Flavour of toast, Marmite and toffee. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A toasty and very malt-forward beer.

Can picked up at Newbarns. It pours clear rich brown with a lasting fluffy off - white head. The aroma is earthy roasted malt, hearty coffee character, cacao nibs, touch salted caramel, brown bread, malt loaf, fruit cake and a splash of cola. The taste is dryish, bitter - sweet, earthy roast, malt loaf, dried fruits, raisin, fruit cake, cacao nibs, cocoa dusting, cola, coffee grounds, and a touch of toasty spice with a smooth, malt loaf finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well crafted and rounded.
