Images of your real (or fanciful) old Kentucky home in bourbon country are conjured up with every sip, thanks to the brew’s six-week aging period in fresh Kentucky bourbon barrels. Our barrel-aging process balances hints of caramel and vanilla and subtle cereal notes with the juiciness of a fresh ripe peach, creating a golden color. Enjoy this light-bodied, refreshing offering before the bright rays of summer fade into fall.
BARREL AGED SEASONAL SERIES — Nestled in the heart of bourbon country where bourbon barrels outnumber people, Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company produces a Barrel-Aged Seasonal Series that capitalizes on its close proximity to the region and the changing taste preferences of the seasons. All of these beers are produced in Kentucky, aged in freshly decanted Kentucky bourbon barrels, 100% barrel aged, and produced in bourbon barrels only used once.

Bottle. More of a deep gold with a medium he’d. Aroma was really nice. Yes it was mostly peach. Taste was peach tasting but not too sweet.

Sweet bourbon aroma. Complex flavor of sweet peach to start and bourbon at the finish. Alcohol aftertaste.
Easy drinking with a slight peach taste. Good stuff.

Bottle at RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours a clear yellow gold with small white head. The aroma is strong peach candy and wheat. Thin body, peach Os, wheat, light finish, decent.

Pours an amber with a greenish tinge from a bottle. Not much aroma at all. Flavor is a little peach juice concentrate, vanilla, oak bourbon, i don’t know if that combo equates to a big butteriness, or if the bottle is a diacetyl bomb, but that is rather offputting whatever the source.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Clear straw color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Peaches, oak and wheat in the nose. Medium body with flavors of sweet peaches, oak and wheat. The finish is fruity and oaky with a peach aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at bocktown. Not sure where we are going with this one, barrel aged fruit beer? HAH. Beautifully sexy lacing. Slight sour peach aroma. How odd the flavor is. Rather dull on the taste. Yes, some unsweet peach is in there but it comes across quite like medicine with the barrel. What ev, not impressed. A little less than average for a fruit beer.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a golden-amber color with a small foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish with peach brandy and a bit of wood. The flavor was peach and wood - a bit jammy but not overly sweet. Long finish. Moderately full bodied but a touch undercarbonated. The peach presence grows as it warms. Tasty.
