Distinctive amber ale that contains a lot of hops with a European taste and a great caramel color. An all around good beer for any food that isn’t sweet, it compliments well with a sandwich or a hearty soup.

Shaker pint draft at the Village Pub and Grill at the Las Vegas airport. The pour is light haze golden amber with a small off white head. The aroma is pretty faint (beer was quite cold initially), showing just a touch of grain sweet malt. The taste is initially cereal grain malt, along with some light sweet, then some hay, and towards the end a decent amount of diacetyl. The palate is light bodied, fine carbonation, and a pretty dirty diacetyl finish. Just ok, not sure how fresh this was.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear bronze colour, small head. Peachy and pefrumy. Mid dry with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Similar to their new IPA, but with a touch of roastiness. An enjoyable amber!

On tap at the casino/brewery. Pours a orange golden with a small frothy white head leaving good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma was a floral hop and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a wheat flavor and a nice bitter finish. Cant beat 22 oz for 1.50 in Vegas.

Sample at Ellis Island casino. Pours amber, thin white head. Aroma is malty and fruity. Taste, malty, light citrus fruits with light finish that reminded me of the pale lager "gold" version with added spice.

tap at the brewery/casino - Pours light amber with a thin head. It has a mild, malty aroma. The flavor is caramel malt and not much else. It’s smooth, light bodied, and easy drinking. That’s about it.

Golden color. Light malt aroma. Some malt taste and a more interesting hopping, partially aromatic, well bitter.

Sample at the brewpub: Light clear amber color with a thin white head and minimal lacing. The aroma is light malt and caramel. Thin-bodied and bland with a barely detectable malt and hops flavor. The finish is just a little bitter. Overall another subpar beer from Ellis Island.
