Draft pour. Pours dark with a very sugar sweet and malty aroma. On the sweeter side too on the flavor with a nutty finish. Some hints of chocolate too. Not bad.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded and left good lacing. The aroma was dryish wood, nut, a hint of cherry and caramel. The flavor was wood, tobacco and hint of blended scotch. Medium length finish. Medium body and fairly smooth. Ok.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear ruby brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some biscuit and nuttiness with a dark bread backbone. Flavor is quite nutty with a touch of sweet dark grain underlying.

22oz bomber pours clear amber with copper hues and thin tan head. The aroma is kind of a mix of roasted malts, some nuttiness and then a bit of musty dark fruity esters. The taste is nice for a balanced yet rich brown ale with roasted malts, nutty goodness, some malty earthiness and then it runs into spicy hoppy notes. This is a tasty brown for sure.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy dark amber color, with creamy head. Malt and caramel aroma, with a light dusty trace. Flavor of caramel, a bit nutty and dusty; correct bitterness.
A pleasant Bitter/Brown Ale.
