Named for the dam workers who packed all the explosives, this beer is flavorful and refreshing, yet not filling. Pilsen and Carapils malt give this brew a light, malty character and straw color. The palate is balanced with three hops – Northern Brewer and Tettnanger from Germany and Styrian Goldings from Slovenia.

Draft at the source. Hazy straw color, white head. Aroma of light malt, some fruitiness. Taste is light malt, fruity notes, grass. Doesn’t really taste like a pils - maybe more like a blonde. Watery and bland.

Sampler at the source. Clear golden with a small white head in the glass. Hop and grain on the nose. Taste has some malt and hop on a low level. Some hop bitterness, smooth. Easydrinker. Okay.

Another nice looking beer, but lacking the crisp hop pilsener character. Tends to be watery, bland. Not much flavor here.

A lightly hazed blonde pils with a thick frothy and lacing off white head. In aroma, a grassy malt with faint wild yeast. In mouth, a grassy malt with fruity notes, watery bodied, faint hops, lightly cloying. On tap at brewpub, August 8 2012.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a hazy dark yellow color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Light spiced hops in the nose. Light body with mild hops and spice flavors, along with a touch of malt in the background. The finish is thin with a sweet malt aftertaste that does not linger long. Slightly below average overall.

Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy blond color. Very simple beer, weak body, with a too strong yeast flavor. Too much homebrew style.
